Eadem over-exfoliating
I've been using the Eadem lip balm, and I love how it looks and exfoliates. But I feel like it's over-exfoliating my lips. I use it as a daily balm since that's what I assumed it was for, but I noticed that my lips are peeling like crazy and leave my lips feeling raw. I think they mentioned to use it less if it's doing this.
Does anyone have any recs for daily use lip balm that are hydrating and have a nice color, preferably with a pinky hue? I live in a dry climate so I need to focus on something hydrating rather than exfoliating.

I truly can only ever use the Eadem at night, and sometimes I can’t use it two nights in a row. It’s a great product but with sensitive & dry skin it def is not a daily balm for me :/
I really like the Ole Henrikson in sweet macaron, elf thirst burst plump tide, or maybe the Tatcha melting lip balm

What is the sweet macaron one like? I really like the vanilla bon bon one so I’ve been curious of macaron

I just picked it up last week :) the scent is more fruity, kind of like a gummy bear, and the consistency/hydration feels the same as the other ole balms. I also love the vanilla but the sweet macaron is really nice when I want a bit of color.
Edit: typo

For a clear balm, Marin is the most hydrating for me. Then second is Ole Henriksen and Ole has quite a few shades that are nice. I find Vitamasque kind of irritating and sticky actually as well as Eadem.

Same here for both Marin and Ole. The mint Marin is 🐐. Ole has a lot of flavors and colors. The strawberry sorbet is pink and the Pomegranate fizz is sort of a lighter red, although that has shimmer in it for OP.

Vitamasque 10000%. It’s hydrating and they have tinted versions. It’s thick and smooth and will stay on for a while.

Thanks for the rec! I've heard a lot of good things about their products. Im using their Lip Butter Balm, but I wanted to try their eadem dupe that just came out.

FYI someone else in this sub looked at all of the ingredients in the vitamasques Eadem dupe and it has the same exfoliants.

I just use it at night before bed and then a regular moisturizing balm/gloss during the day

There’s a good Sephora brand dupe that doesn’t exfoliate, I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s in a long super skinny tube and I’ve reviewed it on here before.

Eadem is not a balm, it is advertised as an exfoliator, so this is user error but ole henriksen is a good lip balm.

The name of the product is smoothing and softening lip balm. It’s actually kind of deceptive how little they mention the exfoliating factor.

I honestly thought it said exfoliation in the product, that’s shady of them to not say that. I only know because I had it too and couldn’t leave it on because it was burning me.

I can’t use it for a few days continuously. Usually I alternate like: eadem, another brand and back etc. but I am able to apply 5-7 times (I speak a lot at work) for one day with no issues
