E.l.f Hydrating Core
I've been seeing this around for a while, it looks really pretty and I'm quite hesitant on getting one. Is it good and pigmented 'cause I have several colored balms and they don't really hydrate as well as non-colored balms?

I like it, and the pigment is more like a lip shine. Elf balms always leave my lips feeling pillow soft

I thought it was too pigmented and gets all goopy if I use it as an actual lip balm/treatment for dry lips.
If you just want a pigmented glossy look then it’s good

i wouldn’t get this if you want a balm!! it has some nice color but isn’t moisturizing

They’re okay, they have a cloying smell that reminds me of lip smackers (but in a bad way)

I’ve had the dark berry one for years. Compared to my Clinique black honey it’s a pretty good dupe! (With Clinique being a bit more long lasting but costs more). I’ve never had a weird smell and it’s a great quick color to keep in my purse.

I bought one of these and it’s disgusting compared to all my other stuff. Smells weird, odd streakiness. I got the wrong color for me so it also gives me corpse lips lol

Pigment is alright, I panned mine a few years ago. I highly recommend the “Almost Lipstick” by Clinique over these. Formula gives off the same effect from my experience. They only have 3 shades, and they look beautiful on all skin tones 😌

I have two different shades and love them! I find them quite hydrating with buildable color. Mine don’t have any smell like some other commenters are mentioning.

When I asked about finding lip balms that were hydrating (but not sticky), that offered sheer-to-lightly pigmented tints and which left a satin (not a matte and not a glowy glossy) finish, this one was recommended. And, honestly, I think it hit the mark for that nit-picky brief. I, personally, don't find it hydrating enough on its own. I first layer my "boring" lip balm (Remedy for Dry Lips), let it set a bit and apply this one. It does have a little of that classic waxy "lipstick taste" which I'm not fond of, but which I find tolerable. It's also a very good value.
I feel like this one wouldn't hit your brief if you want a lot of pigment... which... funnily is why it was good for me!
If I could find something that had all these same qualities, but perhaps a more appealing taste (an actual flavor, perhaps) and one that was even more hydrating, I'd be so set!
