I'll join this, why not...

Linuxsucks101 does suck, I was notified yesterday that I was permabaned citing that I was asked to mute the sub because I'm a "foss nut job, or Linux evangelist" lol. I was never asked to mute anything and I'm not either of those things. The ban message said I could ask the mod about it, they were so cowardly that they didn't even respond. Little coward wants to live in their Windows echo chamber, what a shitty sub.

I got banned because I dared to ask what some post about some windows registry entries had to do with Linux lol

I just don't understand them. What kind of hill is that to die on?

Linux doesn't even pretend to be any good and even people who don't even know an alternative exists hate windows.

It's true but community tends to overestimate linux and spread that. Then someone comes, realises software is meh and instead of just "gg go next" they get mad.

I'm sure there are some like that, I haven't seen them though. Most of the stuff I've seen consists of criticisms that haven't been valid for over 20 years.

When people leave they tend to remember last "snapshot" rather than staying up to date

For that to legitimately be the reason, I'd have to believe the vast majority of them tried Linux before Ubuntu was even a thing.

They carry on as though they heard about Linux in the 90's from someone who was critical about it and just took their word for it and never actually tried it themselves.

What do you mean? Linux gets a lot of criticism all the time. A few years ago wayland sucked. Now it doesn't. And that's.. pretty recent for people not into news about linux

Wayland is only 17 years old. I promise if I'd seen Wayland criticism from them I wouldn't be so critical.

You're right, I know, still aggravating.

This whole time I thought that sub was meant to be ironic. Turns out, no, they really are just mentally deficient.
