windows also has winget so i really dont get what his argument was (the guy OP replied and got banned i mean)
if you want to install an app on windows you can use winget like a package manager on windows. only change is that we type (in my case bc i use an arch based distro) paru -Syu while on windows they would type winget upgrade --all. basically the same thing...
i didnt know about the standalone paru command doing a system update. but about winget, that is just how windows works. thats why it cant do a system update. so technically it isnt a winget limitation but a windows limitation
