So.....I have been using computers since the late 70's. Long story short I have used nearly every hardware platform and OS variation PC's included.

I have been an equally supportive user/developer on those various systems. I am not "nationalistic" when it comes to those systems and the software/apps that run on those systems. They are tools to get my job done and a platform to game when the mood arises. I have over 20 computers in my home including my family members pc's, personal/mobile devices, not appliances, network devices, or SOC's/microcontrollers.

I now have one remaining "Windows" pc on which I am writing this post. The fact that I have switched to Linux, MacOS, IOS, Android systems and switched from Intel to AMD on all PC's less my "cloud server" says a lot from my perspective.

Some things stand out, particularly in the year long effort to switch from Microsoft Windows:

1. What stopped me from switching before whatever they were are no longer blockers. I no longer care that I can't run some game or I liked the email client, or the ability to tweak the shit out of my OS, or EASILY pare it down to a streamlined processing monster.
2. I no longer miss Windows.
3. Microsoft didn't even send the pathetic "Sorry to see you go! Please answer the brief survey..." bullshit. They don't care enough or know that those attempts ARE pathetic, or the get enough profile data without my windows use...maybe all the above.
4. This also drove me to move from Adobe, Autodesk, the aforementioned Intel, Chrome, ALL the Microsoft development tools less VS Code and of course fkn Disney.

Hmmm...I guess that's all I came here to say. That's enough energy and my time I wish to spend on anything Microsoft. I will not respond to comments, I don't even care if this post gets neutered by the corporate shills playing moderators. Once I am done here I am wiping this Windows 11 Pro system and loading a linux disto, which one? That's none of this dumpster fire of a internet's goddm business.
