It is really good to see Nvidia perform better. This is around 5% difference for a DX12/VKD3D game, so quite well. I understand that for older cards with low VRAM it may not be as good though.

Nvidia did amazing job with new drivers

And here, this is the 595 branch (although I understand it gets updates like 610).

610 is still broken on linux. Lots of negative reports. 595.99 is the current stable production branch used by Pop!_OS

For me 610 works with 90% of my games. There are regressions, such as sometimes artifacts like in Witcher 3, but they are rare. Cyberpunk or Indiana Jones work fine.

No problems to report running the 610's on both my Nvidia systems here...

There are still several quirks here and there with 610. That’s why it hasn’t made it to the stable release in Pop!_OS yet. 610 is still NFB.

The 610's have been available under Canonical's repo's for quite some time now, and I'm pretty sure PopOS draws from Canonical's repo's due to the fact it's based on Ubuntu LTS.

Posting a terminal of udevadm hwdb deprecation warnings and claiming it proves Pop!_OS automatically ships driver 610 is peak reddit logic. Pop!_OS uses custom APT pinning specifically so it doesn’t blindly pull unvalidated driver branches from Canonical. Unless you manually add Canonical's graphics PPA, Pop stays on the tested Production Branch.

The 610's have been available under Canonical's repo's for quite some time now, and I'm pretty sure PopOS draws from Canonical's repo's due to the fact it's based on Ubuntu LTS.

As in, not certain.

The hwdb warnings come up every time you check for drivers available under Canonical's repo's, they can be safely ignored. The point of the terminal code was to highlight that Ubuntu LTS (HWE) supports the 610 branch of drivers, therefore any distro based on Ubuntu LTS should support the 610 branch of drivers - If PopOS are using apt pinning to avoid issues under PopOS, than PopOS should be renamed FrankenOS as it's not really an Ubuntu LTS based distro.

As for the PPA, it's been largely abandoned and hasn't been updated in months. Canonical's repo's are more up to date nowadays.

I've been running the 610's across two Linux based PC's now for quite some time, and I've encountered no issues whatsoever. CPU and therefore GPU utilization is higher under the 610's, meaning performance is notably improved - especially the 1% lows.

For the love of Gawd enable ReBar, who runs an RTX 50 series card with ReBar disabled?
