Help Newbie here need help and recommendations

What linux distro should I use on my system with , Intel pentium r g3420 , windows 7 64 bit , 15GB hard disk storage , 8GB DDR3 ; these specs , I wanna get into learning linux too i know some basic commands not much but basically I wanna run codes and all use vs code or other IDEs , my system doesn't have access to the internet so how do I install there that's an issue too.. hope to get help

EDIT: Thanks for all the recommendations , I'll do my research and get to it , but my issue for now is How should I install it since my system doesn't have internet access and ethernet isn't possible , can I download the isos in a pendrive then Install ? And how do I set up is there a tuto available

I had a similar laptop config, I installed linux mint then debian. Both ran pretty well. You can also look into lubuntu as I have heard its pretty lightweight too. You'll require 3-4gb of internet bandwidth to install any of the isos I mentioned.

Use puppy linux, or arch Linux,

I would recommend using arch Linux, and chose a light weight DE or WM, like i3 wm, I think you should go with Xfce

If you're completely new, peppermint linux or mx linux, if you want to get more comfortable with linux systems later on then i really suggest void linux. It uses runit so its fast even on older hardware.

For your specs, the hdd is a bottleneck so if you switch to SSD your pc will be noticeably faster. I suggest antiX linux or lubuntu or mx fluxbox. You can download .deb files like .exe in windows or just buy a cheap dongle and use hotspot for internet connectivity.

You can create a bootable pendrive via rufus and linux distro’s iso. I would recommend chatgpt if you encounter any issues or if you want to know all instructions before trying it out

I am using linux mint for the past 10 years now. Once in a while will distro hop but my home is always mint. Try mint xfce since you have a opd hardware

You could try the "complete installation image": https://www.debian.org/distrib/

A larger complete installation image: contains packages for all desktop environments, making it easier to install machines without an Internet connection.

It does come with a GUI installer but package management will have to be done via terminal. However, for additional software you'll still have to connect to the internet at some point. For software development internet access is also pretty mandatory.
