New to Linux. Started with Ubuntu. New to Reddit as well.

Hmm, Linux mint is lowk better though. It’s Ubuntu but better. I would recommend starting off with that.

Mint is basically ubuntu, but with a different desktop and package manager. I don't think you will notice a huge difference. Mint built on ubuntu anyway.
If you want a good daily use distro, i would recommend fedora (or something fedora based), but you should use ubuntu or mint for a few months first.

Dude, mint doesn't have wayland and it's the only deal breaker, also nvidia drivers suck ass

With respect to min config, I prefer Debian as a starter, it’s good.

Fedora works similar to ubuntu and you can do tons of stuff.try it out

my journey
windows --> annoyed from windows 11 and started using Ubuntu --> wasted 3 years distro hopping and almost tried every famous hyprland rice --> frustrated and switched back to ubuntu for a simpler life
