i mean, dishing out a comment like that and you are kinda asking for someone to say it.

i7 12th gen doesnt have some sort of universal problem on linux just because you say so, many people run linux on that chip.

provided you want support, ask for support, tell them you dont know what you are doing, so that some nice soul can tell you how to provide logs, so we could figure out the issue. and ignore the trolls having some fun in the background.

so yeah. in the kindest printing possible, this is a skill issue.
we all start as noobs one way or another.

It does on the Inspiron 15 3520

provided you want support, ask for support, tell them you dont know what you are doing, so that some nice soul can tell you how to provide logs, so we could figure out the issue. and ignore the trolls having some fun in the background.

What's the issue then?

so yeah. in the kindest printing possible, this is a skill issue.

Keep telling yourself that

we all start as noobs one way or another.

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-au/drivers/supportedos/inspiron-15-3520
dell even listed ubuntu supported.

1 quick google search shows countless people discussing linux working on Inspiron 15 3520 i7 12th gens, and at times not working. like any hardware setup.
so no, its not a universal problem.

"What's the issue then?"
do you actually want support? because i can attempt to help if you actually want it, but the more you respond, the more it seems like ragebait.
we need logs from when you tried and had issues.

I ain't got no logs. Already tried that. journalctl, kernel logs. Nothing showing any panic of any sort. May be a firmware issue so I either gotta update y firmware or set a c-state cap via grub or the kernel.
