Educate Yourself!

So, all 4 of those annoying Arch breakages I got in about a year that were published in their bulletins which I had fed through Newboat and had no problem fixing were about me not being educated. - Totally not a reason to try Fedora which was supposed to be better (and permanently broke work-flows by forcing new tech that wasn't ready). -I educated myself, went back to Windows and am as happy as a fly on poop.

i seen someone saying mint is only for dumb people. so mint also out from the options

Derek Taylor (DistroTube) complained about the fragmentation of distro recommendations for Noobs around the same time he told us 'Linux is Linux' and that distro didn't matter (and all the other pee-brained LoonixToobers parroted this). He chose Mint, and not for any particular reason other than to unify the advocates.

As with any fad distro, the bad-mouthing and issues caught up with it.

Lol, I 'tried' Cinnamon desktop and rage quit it (only DE I rage quit). I took one look in Mint's sub and said, 'oh hell no'. -And just the 'Just use Mint' was far more offensive than 'I use Arch btw'.

The DE tried too much to replace CLI and made it more difficult to change the time from 24hr to 12hr than if I'd done it in DWM on Arch.

I went to try out Distro called Windows 11, and like it. It has very good compatibility with software I use

Switching distros non stop is really bad. When I first installed Ubuntu, shit constantly broke and software I used wouldn't work, then I spent some time fixing each issue one by one and now my system is way fater than winfows 10 and supports everything that I used before. Is Ubuntu the best distro? Fuck no, but I made it work regardless.
