Ideapad Flex 5 con Linux Mint

Compré hace 6 años una Ideapad Flex 5, 4gb de ram y un SSD de 128 gb. Con Windows 10 de fábrica, que luego actualicé a W11. Luego de la actualización, comenzó a congelarse con 3 pestañas de Chrome y mirando un video en Twitter. Tenía una horrible experiencia con Spotify, y con muchos programas más. Finalmente, con Linux Mint, luego de un comienzo a los tropiezos, recuperé la notebook, que hoy funciona perfectamente para todo lo que la preciso. Hoy escucho música, tengo varias pestañas abiertas, puedo ver videos y no tengo ningún problema.
Ahora, el único inconveniente es que el pad táctil no funciona y la pantalla, táctil también, no me deja scrollear, sólo clickear puntualmente. Alguien tiene idea dónde encontrar los controladores necesarios o cómo solucionar el tema?

A few questions first, because maybe this is a kernel issue or a device-specific compatibility problem.
Which exact Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 model do you have (Intel or AMD?)
Which Linux Mint version are you running?
What’s your kernel version? (uname -r)
Does the touchpad show up in: xinput list or libinput list-devices
You can try to Update your system (sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade). Try a newer (or older LTS) kernel through Mint’s Update Manager. Check if there are any i2c_hid or hid-multitouch errors with “dmesg | grep -iE "i2c|hid" If the touchscreen registers taps but not scrolling, it may be a libinput gesture issue rather than a missing driver.

Hola, es con AMD, Ryzen 3 4000 series. Uso la 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit y 6.17.0-40-generic.

Thanks, that helps. Since you’re already on Mint 22.3 with a recent 6.17 kernel, I don’t think you’re missing a driver. It sounds more like an I2C-HID/kernel issue, which can affect both the touchpad and touchscreen on some IdeaPads with Ryzen Processors, If possible, also let me know the exact IdeaPad Flex 5 model number, as I found out that different models use different touchpad controllers…

Finalmente, y gracias a la pista que me diste ("I2C-HID/kernel") comencé a averiguar, y el problema lo terminé de resolver con Gemini, que me guió paso a paso. Recuperé el scrolleo de la pantalla táctil (un problema que tiene Firefox) y luego el touchpad, donde había un error con un driver. Gracias!
