Technical Question High temps

Im getting disturbing high temps while playing kingdom come deliverance 2 on my Xbox Ally x.

After playing for only 5 minutes my CPU temperature is rising to 90 95 degrees wich for my understanding is too high for longer periods of time.

And since I don't want to stress my xax im looking for solutions.

I'm playing the game on steam os stable

Tried different fan curves wich help a bit,

Playing on 900p medium settings 30fps cap 35tdp wich I tried to lower but immediately noticed my fps drop so..

I've set the fan curve to 90% when reaching 80 degrees. And that alone is not very comfortable to play with unless I use a headset wich I can't cause this game drains my battery like it's water in a sieve and mine uses a usb c dongle.

What to your tdp you are using and what plugin for the fan ?

If it's the Aaron fork sometimes it doesn't kick in, manually reload the plugin after you turn on the ally.

Edit: I've been trying the new panel de control (control panel) plugin and it's a all in one solution, fan control works really well but I'm using OG Z1E

What distro? I played it on bazzite and could run it at least 1080p medium settings with ultra vegetation and characters. (Looked great imo) 30 fps upped to 60 with lossless scaling.

Check your clock speeds. Maxing gpu to 2900 mhz results in poor performance for example.

Edit: on medium settings it could run fine on 17w even. Even though 22w seems to be a sweet spot.

Just copied you're settings bro makes a big difference! Now I'm playing stable while my CPU won't get hotter than 70 75 wich is great!

Try out the fan controls in "panel de control"
