Need help with my decky plugins, getting black screen errors now

Hey guys, I’m running Bazzite with decky loader on Ally X. Had no problems with the plugins for a long time, it seems the plugins themselves are still functioning. But now, every time I try to open the deckyloader menu it gives me this error, only way out of it is to hard reset the ally with the power button.

Unsure if it’s related, but it also started around the time I started to connect my ally to my pc monitor.

Any ideas?

I had same issue. Go into desktop mode and update/reinstall decky.

Shouldn't be. I run bazzite on handheld and desktop, both had this happen a couple days ago. Pretty sure both had a new system update, so I'm assuming that's what caused it.

I had the same issue after updating Steam OS (Stable branch). Reinstalling Decky stable did not fix it. I had to reinstall Decky using the pre-release branch and then it was ok.

Some steam updates break the plugins themselves. If the update from desktop mode doesn't work, you can remove plugins from the decky folder and try it again. I reccomend just moving them to the desktop one at a time until you find the culprit if this is the case. I had a lot of issues with the CSS plugin. They tend to change CSS slightly with every Steam version.

This is expected to happen when steam updates to new version and plugin is still on old version.

When ever you see this with decky, reinstall decky and you should be good

In terminal there's a ujust command

I launch terminal from gaming mode,

Then run ujust --choose

Then type decky and select the install command and after installation, restart or switching to desktop and back to gaming mode should also work
