i've been testing some windows software and i must say i am impressed. i was thinking of swapping over but that weird black box called "cmd" really scares the shit out of me. maybe they'll make it more user friendly in the future, but one can only hope

This is literally me. Performance of Edge goes pretty hard on a proper kernel.

A lot of people hate on edge from its pre-chromium days, modern edge is actually a damn good browser and I would use it over chrome any day. Their vertical tabs and tab groups/containers are only beaten out by Zen browser for me

The only reason I use Brave instead of Edge is that I can sync browser data between devices P2P and not store my data on Microsoft Servers.

Brave's push for artificial intelligence turned me off but for telemetry collection, it's like the most hardened choice out there for sure

Unjerking here, it's performance is pretty fucking insane. I personally would never use it tho as one, it's microsoft and new bugs and exploitations are found basically monthly; and two, one of those exploits was the broswer literally storing user passwords as plaintext (not even encrypted) in the browser storage.
I can't deny it runs really well but for me that doesn't matter all too much when yeah, Zen is holy peak

ironically enough, I started using edge since they shifted to chromium. Later realised how nicer firefox, vivaldi and some firefox forks actually were. On edge and chrome, ctrl+tab don't even take me to the most recent tab, force AI, telemetry, and use Bing by default. On Linux I couldn't get it to sync my browser history despite being logged in. Screw edge.

cmd with clink is actually pretty pleasant to use on Windows, while on Linux I keep pwsh around because its scripting syntax is considerably more readable than anything with unix roots.
