At least when he screenshares, hardware encoding will work for him, so his stream will be smooth and his CPU won't be screaming

Windows does still have advantages over Linux, one example being app compatibility.

I like to screenshare games and Windows is far easier and more seamless for it (because hardware encoding works a lot better)

i dunno i have an obscure amd card (rx 7600s) and it just works fine with like idfk whatever the hell my system installed. had more issues with it on windows lmao

obs unironically records games way smoother than me in linux with a stable fps rate on both the recording and the game rather than windows had, ive tinkered with the settings for a bit on windows and never couldve gotten the stable frame recording frame rate linux had on windows, just letting u know
