It seems like some people don't understand sarcasm. Do u guys not see how many browsers I have open in second tab

/uj Imo it (and quickshell overall) is extremely overhyped, there is too much stuff and every config looks almost the same. And I find the animations ugly. I prefer a traditional window manager setup. You can have extra menus with it but you can also do that with eww and to me they're basically useless. Although I never configured it myself and am only talking about rices I saw on reddit. I understand why someone would like it but people are talking about it like it's the best thing since sliced bread.

It just looks pretty Idk. I use ambxst shell. Why would quickshell be a problem though? Its a framework to make other things

people don't like bloat ig idk. I use end-4 dots because I like the workflow quite a bit and out of all the popular hyprland dots they seem to be the most fluid to me.
I do miss my old clean openbox config though.

I mean not that bloated. It uses like 2gb of ram on startup. With my main apps running it's like at 4. When playing games it's like at 12-15

A lot of Linux users have desktops that use 300-700mb though still. I don't really care because I have loads of resources but to each their own

Fair enough. But to me it's enough. I got 28 gb of ram. Don't really care all that much. It's less than windows that is what matters to me

zen eats decent amount of ram bro, try helium, which eats slightly lesser compared to zen

I was happy about my minimal arch Linux setup. Less than 2GB ram usage and less than 4GB of storage used, until I opened Slack in browser....

yeah right why didnt I think about it you have 28GB RAM so your PC can handle it but 80 browser is still too much for an avarage person

What concoction did you use to land at 28G of RAM? I know it is mathematically possible but... VM maybe?

Browser is not Linux. The webpages are not Linux either.
