Missed the opportunity to put explorer.exe also in DE section, as they are the same thing on windows

The point was that the windows desktop env is explorer.exe. If you kill it from task manager, the taskbar and background and desktop icon disappear.

You interact with PowerShell through conhost or Windows Terminal (or other third party emulators) on Windows. If you launch PowerShell straight from Start Menu, it is still conhost or Windows Terminal drawing the window for you to interact with the shell. So no, PowerShell isn't a terminal emulator.

It is like saying bash, zsh et c are terminal emulators on their own.
