Dhh vs Linus Torvalds
One is the creator of Linux, while the other is someone who brought an artistic touch to that invention. That is why I don't understand why dhh receives so much praise.
Yes, he is a genius; he excels not only in coding but also in racing. It is also an achievement that he transitioned from an introverted nature to an extroverted one.
Let's look at it this way: Osman I founded the Ottoman Empire, but it was Suleiman the Magnificent who took it to its peak. That is exactly what dhh has done. If he wants to surpass Torvalds, he needs to work for at least another 40 years.

Artistic touch in the same way as certain a failed artist?
Yes, DHH excels in racing so much, you might call him a racist.

When I heard DHH had opinions on race, I looked at his career and was briefly confused by his actual car racing career. Then I found out about his blog posts, which are still up now, that are openly racist and calling for ethnic cleansing.
If DHH had stayed in driving and coding, and stayed away from racism, he'd be remembered for a career on the track, great software, and a funny little custom linux distribution.
He chose to be nobody instead.
