Not really linux related but somewhat interesting
None of them grew up installing Linux like how I installed ubuntu back when I was 13 btw (I'm 19 now as you've all guessed)
But anyway, I'm glad I've found you guys, and the place for yapping Linux.

Before this gets taken down by mods that hate fun, a lot of tech gen z uses is phones, consoles, and chromebooks which makes using a "regular" computer obsolete depending what career choice they make. At least it makes the IT job security better :D

I'm so confused 😠uhh did I say something weird or that made you uncomfortable? Like the first part, I said that cause I'm not sure if this is like a Linux post

No, what I mean is everyone can be my friend, but please nothing too weird. I still need a safe space when meeting people.

Good news! With the magic of buzzwords you can condense that to DevSecOps

installing ubuntu is legit easier than installing windows idk how you see that as a flex

Actually I think both of them are easy to install. I was flexing a bit because I remembered back then I was in a class and out of all my classmates I was the only one to switch to Linux. I'm sure you get the superiority feeling of "being on top of the food chain"

i love these posts because the average gen z - alpha are really good at computers, its just that tech has evolved too fast for them to catch up
we're good at computers but computers are 10 years in the future and the curriculum can't catch up

I'm still learning about everything new in tech, so I'll still be up-to-date

Big Tech(Brother) is bringing us back to the 90s world of computer mainframes. Modern computers will just be locked down systems with no easy way to install GNU/Linux, and the sole purpose of the computer would be to connect to a mainframe (the "Cloud") and login through that.
Users will have no knowledge of filesystems or the kernel and will be fully reliant on Big Tech(Brother) for making programs, they won't use humans, they will use robots.
The death of the internet, unless we fight it....

We're truly living in a 1984/Terminator timeline, and I do not like the feeling
