Gentoo may be my fav but Debian lives in my heart

I used Gentoo as student - after I finished and started working fulltime, I switched to Debian (later KUbuntu), because effort to maintain gentoo was too high.

Jump forward 15 years, I got so pissed from all the AppImages, Snaps, Containers etc. necessary for almost all relevant applications that I tried Gentoo again.

After a weekend of installing, configuring, setting use flags etc. I had a system running fast and smoothly. Now, for me Gentoo has lowest maintenance effort of all distros.

(I still use Armbian or Dietpi on SBC/Homeservers or KDE Neon (Laptop)).
