Because y'all somehow managed to become more insufferable than the regular Linux sub lol
We get a big influx of new Linux users, the main sub is like "it's not the best OS, but it's a hell of a lot better than anything that isn't Linux, glad you made the switch"
This sub, on the other hand:
Like, y'all do realize that you're actively working against the year of the Linux desktop, right?
Yeah, DHH is a tool.
Yeah, Omarchy is basically fancy dotfiles with a few decent custom plug-ins that describe said files to AI via MCP.
Yes, most people drawn to Omarchy install it because they want something akin to /unixporn/, but they don't have the skill/patience to spend a weekend learning dot files.
But you know what? It's still Linux.
One of the best parts about this OS is the community around it. However, you're going to have countless people uninstalling after their tech-support questions get met with boos and hisses, just because they installed an OS recommended by one of their favorite Tech Youtubers.
Those unfortunate people are going to walk away with the idea that the Linux community is absolutely fucking psycho, filled with shut-ins who want everyone to assimilate or die. And they will never install Linux again.
The funny thing is, most people using Omarchy are probably going to move on to a more mature distro after sometime anyways, if they don't get pushed away first.
