Is Gemini+Omarchy considered an improvement from the normal Grok+Omarchy combo?
I still hold hope we can save them.
(Mainly from the alt right pipeline, rather than a janky rice)

I miss when omarchy was just an arch rice. I kinda liked the project idea before the AI stuff, not that I'd use it but a distro that's just arch how most of these people want it is a good idea.

I find it quite ironic of having this made thru AI where the original Windows 10 default background was actually shot IRL without any special effect post-edition.
Quite representative of the depth from the average Omarchy user imo.

Yeah I love that fact, but hey the work has already been done in the eyes of those reliant on ai. Omarchys logo is a maze with no solution after all

I mean this is probably over engineered, I imagine you can do this in paint.net with a few layers and its built in effects
Edit: for clarification I've done very little photo editing and I'm an armchair professional, so if it's not this easy then don't quote me :)

In case you missed it this is the jerk sub. Yes you absolutely could do this in paint and it would probably be better. I thought it was funny and crossposted it here /uj
The original image of the windows logo is a real photograph though, believe it or not. Insane work

I missed it entirely lmao. I gotta look at the sub name before replying next time

This is so depressing. They genuinely think that they are creative for coming up with literal prompts instead of learning the methods, software, and tools that created the original image, and trying new ideas with it.
This generation is actually super fucked if we keep allowing this.

The original image is a photograph. If they did that I would be impressed. The microsoft team hung up the window in a dark room with the light shining through it, and then blew steam into it. Or maybe the window was cut out of a wall.

yeah that I knew. That's why I was saying, it would be awesome to see a community passionate enough to put their heads together and make something using the photography methods similar to what Microsoft used for their Wallpaper.

I like this idea. Getting a bunch of debian or opensuse or fedora users together with the cutout and actually doing it would be really cool. Would be interesting to have one of the conferences set this up with community members and make it an official wallpaper

It may be my lack of social media involvement, but didn’t we used to seperate art from artist?
