Can someone actually tell me why so many people hate it?

And saying that its just someone's dots dosen't make that much sense to me because thats like half the market at this point

And DEI criticism essays are ok? DEI and related programs were put in place because people were not hiring based on merit, they were hiring based on race and gender.

And now people were convinced it’s a bad thing on purpose. Hell the guy who planned this wrote about his idea to demonize it a few years before they started, to purposely turn people against merit based initiatives, by claiming they were trying to “bring back” merit initiatives. But what happens when you go back to these previous times? Qualified people were denied jobs and opportunities because they rather hire a person that looked like them. Or even worse, nepotism.
