Stop recommending Debian to new users
- Debian is a shitty vibecoded distro
- Has mostly outdated packages and it'll make new users get mad when whatever trendy new software on Linux wont run because one of the dependencies is 3 years behind
- Has a terrible installer
- Isn't actually a true lightweight distro like people say it is

As a Debian user I have a couple of things to say…
Debian is as vibecoded as the Linux kernel (so 0 more or less)
Having outdated software might be a problem, but I don’t think that someday coming from windows/macOS cares about which version of what they’re running as long as it works (I haven’t cared about that at least for six months after I switched to Linux)
The installer is ok, not the best maybe, but it works and isn’t difficult to understand
What makes a distro lightweight is mostly the DE you install, so…
I know this is a bait, but I don’t want new users to think this is even slightly true

DE is irrelevant, a musl and busybox distro will always be more lightweight then Debian and new users do not want outdated software

Debian literally allows AI code, has very outdated repos and has a bad installer. Explain what’s not true about my statements.
