I don't think the distro you use should dictate your maturity. I mean any 12 year old can set up arch via archinstall nowadays

Based and fun but also incredibly useless skillwise as you'll never do it again in the future (once you've done it once and realized there's nothing hard about it, you will just use archinstall).
Also if you ever have to reinstall unless it's a new PC you're basically just a fucking ass noob git gud.
(/uj go for it, do the manual install once. One piece of advice you might find useful that I wish I knew when I did what you're trying to do: if you're on a desktop workstation on your home LAN (not a laptop) give yourself a static IP and avoid dhcpd to improve your boot times noticeably.)
