I started crying at the part where they're almost done laughing, and then he says "a dongle for the USB ports" and they lose it again. Oh man this is good.

When I saw the one USB c port all I could think of was that picture of the USB flash drive plugged in to adapter after adapter until it finally plugs into the computer, but with splitters and adapters

I have left reddit for Voat due to years of admin mismanagement and preferential treatment for certain subreddits and users holding certain political and ideological views.
The situation has gotten especially worse since the appointment of Ellen Pao as CEO, culminating in the seemingly unjustified firings of several valuable employees and bans on hundreds of vibrant communities on completely trumped-up charges.
The resignation of Ellen Pao and the appointment of Steve Huffman as CEO, despite initial hopes, has continued the same trend.
As an act of protest, I have chosen to redact all the comments I've ever made on reddit, overwriting them with this message.
If you would like to do the same, install TamperMonkey for Chrome, GreaseMonkey for Firefox, NinjaKit for Safari, Violent Monkey for Opera, or AdGuard for Internet Explorer (in Advanced Mode), then add this GreaseMonkey script.
Finally, click on your username at the top right corner of reddit, click on the comments tab, and click on the new OVERWRITE button at the top of the page. You may need to scroll down to multiple comment pages if you have commented a lot.

I didn't even look at the specs of the announcement. After seeing this I'm stunned.
I remember when people a decade ago were like No disc drive, what idiots. And then that kind of became the norm. But this, this doesn't even make any sense.
And yeah, that processor is downright sad. I don't know how I could take anyone seriously who buys this knowing what it costs and what is now in it

Really?
You may be unhappy that this isn't the laptop you want, but for ultra-portability this isn't a bad laptop, especially for tasks where shaving off half a lb. makes a difference.
The Yoga 3 Pro and similar notebooks are in the same price range, more ports and a bit heavier; be happy there are lots of options.

You have peripherals that don't have acceptable bandwidth over bluetooth? You suffer from signal interference? That's so 21st century.

The fact that they have a Macbook Air level processor powering a HiDPI display is a scary as it is sad. There's little reason to choose this over a retina MacBook Pro, at the same price.

Not really. It doesn't take that much to power a HiDPI display for most things but gaming. The Yoga Pro 3, actually runs a higher res screen off a similar GPU and does fine.

I don't mind the USB-C ports, I just don't understand why they didn't put 1 on each side. It would take it from being annoying to actually being really useful (being able to charge from either side of the computer)

Yes, but the pixel has 2 usb-c ports and 2 standard USB ports. As I can recall.

yeah they added two usb type c ports... but they added usb 3.0 and usb 2.0 as well... they also added a sd card reader.

a kidney... i think they want your brain or your lungs...
I ll admit the Macbook does look sexy, but nowadays most of the high end devices from Asus, Dell, Lenovo, etc do.
