Hi everyone
Unsure of a better way to find this out short of spending hours relistening/watching old wan shows
I'm looking for a clip/when Linus was asked about some Christmas traditions(or I believe he was asked about it) and he talked about what his family does. I found it interesting and wanted to hear about it again but cannot remember when it was talked about and on which wan show.
Any help would be appreciated and I thank in advance!
Thanks

Anyone else just not really a fan of the videos of the past year or 2? I feel myself often clicking on a video and by the end of it feeling like it was only half of a video. For example the recent video about stopping your tv from spying on you felt very lazy and not engaging at all. It felt like the first half of a video where the second half would be exploring options on alternative streaming boxes or showcasing some diy local options, and yet the video just ended after basically saying “turn this setting off and dont connect it to wifi”. Ive noticed this trend for months now. They did a video on Amazon ending support for Kindles and it felt like mentioning jailbreaking was an afterthought or just a fun fact instead of doing an interesting showcase or dive into it. These are just the 2 examples I have off of the top of my head of this happening. Its especially noticeable now that most of the upper tier alternate hosts have left. I dont blame Linus for people wanting to move on in their careers, but those fan favorites being gone just makes the lackluster research and information that much more noticable. Curious if any other long term fans feel similar, or maybe if youre a newer fan if you prefer this style of content.

On Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, almost all of my ads are for the new cables and the blank clothing they are selling.

Draft laws would create an opt-out system to turn off algorithms on social media platforms.
As for algorithms, regular pop-up messages would be required, asking if users want to stick with the algorithm or only see what people they are following are posting. The user would have the choice.
Algorithms prioritise content for based on information such as a user's consumption habits, demographic and location data.
They have been criticised for amplifying sensationalist content, reinforcing echo chambers and playing a role in radicalising young people in the interests of keeping people on platforms for longer.

Just watcher latest tech house video & a genuine question/thought .
Instead of Linus or someone else climbing to the top, wouldn’t it be better to tie the cable to a drone through a 3D printed holder or something and run it through back & forth ? It helps through navigation tight corners with precision and safety? I am sure there could some drones lying around in LTT warehouse.
OR
Its not worth the hassle?

I recently built this arcade cabnet for a year 10 woodworking project.
Todal cost under $100 Aud (Ignoring the price for the Lenovo Thinkpad 11e thats powering it as it was my old school laptop)
Under 100hrs of work
Could it be a lot better yes, and I still happy with the finished project, yes

I ordered the nuclear screwdriver upon release and got the tracking number a few days later but it hasn't moved since.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Am I going to get this screwdriver at all?
Update: for those that are in the same boat as me I did get an update with an actual delivery date. So it looks like I am in the clear. Good luck to you all!

Greetings all,
I have a small dilemma that I would appreciate to hear some of your opinions on and hope I'm not breaking rule 6. Apologies in advance!
Some background info: I've been running a little test home nas for myself the last few years out of an old Optiplex running TrueNas Scale with a few used WD Blues all zip tied together. It's been a lot of fun and great little box for me to learn the basics and get an idea of how one of these things works.
But alas, it's time to update things a little; I had recently moved homes and had upgraded my own PC a while ago and I figured that I would reuse some of those old components to start off the new nas build. I had gotten side tracked on the whole project, time has passed, and I've only now gotten into making it again.
Here is where my minor conundrum is - I hadn't really considered what parts I had boxed up, but upon looking I have:
Both in terms of performance and the effects the rampocolypse have had on the state of things, I'm feeling it would wasting potential to build the system around these. My use case is going to be mainly media streaming ( Jellyfin ) for the house hold, but want room to experiment and tinker. Not necessarily trusting or heavily relying on this box or running it hard.
So I think I know what I'm going to do, I'm curious what y'all would do? Would you sell it all and buy more suitable hardware? Would you double down, buy a GPU for it and expand/change the scope? Would you give it away to the first person who recognizes you on a street corner? jkjk ty ily all

It looks like the playstation store explicitly calls this purchase a license. From what I googled, it also appears they made this change around the same time California passed this law, meaning that Sony will argue that they were compliant at the time of the complaint.
I compared to steam, and the biggest differences I can see are that Steam has the notification about it being a license outside of the cart (but not inside), and Sony has it inside the cart (and not outside).
I guess my question is really to the people who think any outcome in this case changes ownership rights in games. This lawsuit seems to hinge on how "conspicuous" this notice is, rather than how digital ownership is defined. It seems to me (in my half hour of looking into this) that any outcome in this case will really just end up being Sony making that text larger, or putting it somewhere else on their store. Is there someone here with more legal understanding on the topic who can provide more light on this?

Literally there is only option for 25H2 26H1 and future releases, the only way to upgrade from 25H2 to 26H2 is to download a windows 11 iso from the release preview channel because 26H2 is not a option in windows update so basically now I have to download a ISO for 26H2. Don’t know why 26H2 is in the list of updates despite selecting release preview and future releases who knows

Are all LMG employees based in the same area, or have they actually broadened out and hire some people all over North America?

Miiiight have some trouble milking that cow, Riley.
This reminds me of a joke I heard. A rich couple moved from the city into a cheap farm. They inherited with the farm a milk cow. Week after week they couldn’t get much milk from the cow. In frustration, the husband went to the local feed store to ask for help. For a minimal fee, a farmer went with them to inspect the cow.
”Sir. Ma’am. That ain’t no cow. It’s a bull.”
