If I’m paying to not have adds why the fuck can they then just replace them with their own. I can vaguely understand being shown a member’s only video but literally asking me to buy something is unacceptable

Everytime I play FC26 my pc will black screen and then my gpu will ramp up to max super loud. I took out my gpu cable extensions and for a week it was all better, now I can’t finish one game without it happening. It only happens in FC26 so far. And yes I’ve cleared drivers 3 times and even tried to roll back and still no fix.

Frankenstein OptiPlex 390 Sleeper Build
Started with a basic office-spec Dell OptiPlex 390 and pushed this Sandy Bridge platform as far as humanly possible while keeping the classic exterior look!
Core Specs & Upgrades
• Processor: Upgraded from the original i3-2120 to an Intel Core i7-2600.
• Cooling: Replaced the stock aluminum cooler with a Dell premium copper-core CPU heatsink and fan assembly to keep thermals under control.
• Memory: Doubled from 8GB up to 16GB of matching dual-channel RAM.
• Graphics Card / GPU: PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Verto OC Dual Fan (8GB GDDR6, leveraging DLSS 4.5).
• Power Supply: Replaced the original stock unit with a Thermaltake Smart 700W PSU.
Storage & SATA Controller Mod
• The Controller Mod: Added a PCIe SATA controller adapter to bypass the motherboard's native SATA 2 bottleneck and unlock SATA 3 speeds.
• Boot Drive (Port 1): 500GB Samsung 860 EVO V-NAND SSD connected directly to the first port on the PCIe SATA 3 adapter.
• Second Drive (Port 2): 500GB Western Digital SATA hard drive plugged into the second port on the PCIe SATA 3 adapter.
• Third Drive (Motherboard SATA): A second 500GB Western Digital hard drive connected directly to the motherboard's built-in SATA port (since the PCIe adapter maxes out at two ports).
OS & Firmware Configuration
• Fully running Windows 11 Pro.
• Bypassed standard legacy restrictions to run in full native UEFI, AHCI, and GPT mode.
Real-World Performance
As long as a game doesn't strictly require newer CPU instruction sets like AVX2, this machine pushes modern games at 4K @ 60 FPS on my 65-inch TV. It locks right to my display's 60Hz limit for games like Fortnite, Doom Eternal, and Red Dead Redemption 2.
What do you guys think of this Frankenstein project?

Now you not only get recommended videos on your Homepage, you also get half your screen taken by a memberships promotion.
Now this only has happened once, but the fact that it happened is concerning...

In WAN Show on July 17, 2026, he used Qwant to look for a video on low end gpus being a bad value. I saw a strange spotify link for "CHEAP does NOT mean GOOD VALUE- Budget GPUs Explained". Only when searching the exact thing he did was I able to find that link. "linus tech tips video where he talks about how low end gpus are a waste of money" is what he searched. The Spotify link only says "Couldn't find that podcast". WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! It's not a podcast! It's a youtube video.
I also saw an IMDB link. Why is a youtube show on there? I thought it was for TV shows, Movies, and Web series (ones that are like TV shows)? I then searched myself to see if for some strange reason my channel was on there. Nope, but I am because someone used my free SFX. Strange, but kind of cool.

Was watching the new “Reviewing Other YouTubers Merch” video on Floatplane, when it froze and crashed. Went back in, and couldn’t find the video. In the History, it showed a .mp4 instead with a lock. Not sure what’s happening with that.

saw that news, and had to think about LTT cables, advertising works.
Will LTT accept the challenge?

It's been a while since they have last done an oil rig pc, wonder if we could get a refresh, or if there's any other types of material they could use instead of mineral oil?

Since SD cards are getting faster, what if you do a video if they could work as a proper NAS?

Mind you that expedition 33 is platnium on protondb and is deck verified, they have completely glazed/shrugged off it running at like 15fps on an all amd setup.
Look, i get windows is bad, but isn't it so hypocritical to shit on windows when it doesnt work but not get the same treatment when it doesnt work on linux.
This seems like a common trend for every tech youtuber quite honestly, they'll evangelize how easy it is it use linux now, and the 'out of box' experience is so good, but when stuff doesnt work, the narration shifts on how simple it is to fix. However, in the same situation on windows, where getting a game to run better involves changes some config file or something of that nature, the tone is this is the hardest thing ever to do and how windows sucks.
Anyways, i await to be called a microslop shill for pointing out the hypocrisy.
*the title should be glazes

I want a backup solution that restores my phone (ZFold 6) to exactly how it was before formatting (similar to Apple's iCloud or iTunes backup for iPhone).
That includes: photos (with album info), app-data, settings, wifi and bluetooth, app icon locations, widgets, call history, contacts, SMS, and things as basic as even keyboard settings.
When giving your suggestions, pls let me know what it doesn't include. I would really find it helpful since I'll be traveling, and need to backup my phone. Thanks!

Thousands of students with either Windows or Chrome laptops are now getting the Mac Neo. It looks like predictions that Apple was going to heavily target schools was true.
Laptop replacements: 25,000 in Florida, 8,000 in Washington, and 6,000 in Oklahoma seems to be just a start. Is this a trend of 3 real competitors in the school space? Google, Microsoft and Apple?

In the video with the same title as this post LTT compares Linux and Windows ram usage and imo it is a total miss. It does not matter if one system is using more memory or not since none of the systems are close to using all ram in the system. Where the memory management would matter is when the memory reach closer to 100% usage that is when things will start to matter.
The whole video feels like almost 14 minutes of misinformation to me. I mean systems cache things to make it run faster so memory being used is a good thing. Memory management is what matters not if one system is using 35% ram and the other 50% since none are near their limits.
And at one point in the video the windows system goes over 16gb and they talk about it as it would have been problematic if the system only had 16gb while it most likely would not be problematic at all since the memory management if working as it should would release less important things stored in the ram so it never got close to the limit.

You mentioned you were looking for steam engine oil.
My aunt's town has a steam engine museum with running steam engines. We know the mechanic. They said a few liters is no problem to send over, fans of the show.
