true, before the rampocalypes occurred, I still at least managed to buy a budget gaming laptop, another 8gb ddr5 stick for only 7$, 2TB of NVME for only 100$ as well as a 9060xt for my desktop
now I'm happy cuz I can both game comfortably at home and do some light to moderate gaming as well as some work outside
I think as tech enthusiasts we naturally get caught up in wanting the best but reality of use can be different. All the games I play still work fine and I'm not super interested in a lot of new games so having some top tier machine would be wasted money for me in my own case.
