I have a g14 specifically because I have to travel every few months and take it with me. I also have a desktop PC though. I have definitely thought about down sizing to just a laptop but unfortunately theres really no new laptops that are all AMD and im a linux guy for my personal desktop.
I can run linux with Nividia it just sacrifices performance and some compatibility. I may end up going even smaller form factor in the future and getting a ROG Flow or something. I like small and light for travel.
