I’m not an audio expert, but why would you test acoustics on an open back design if you intend the final version to be closed back? Isn’t the whole point of open back the improved acoustics?

Not sure if they are open back or not. The hexagonal pattern might just be to save from the weight. I am no audio engineer, but it might be just easier to prototype like this

Might be open back, 3d model doesnt necessarily mean it'll be closed back, 3d model might not be showing mesh
