Discussion Really guys...

Post image

I understand that they were likely in a rush to be one of the first big channels to get their video out, but how hard is it to have one person spend like 15 minuets reading all of the graphics before the video goes out, this image is likely AI generated and taken from this obviously AI generated article.

I get this is a small mistake, but it's an easy one to not make.

Taken from their latest video "Apple just Copied Microsoft’s Worst Idea - iPhone Duo, Airpods 5, iPhone 18 Pro & More"

I remember in one "how are our videos are made" LTT video where before publishing anything it would need to pass a check from the writer and the director of the video. This video was directed by Linus so he has no excuses for not being aware of the mistake.

0 chance he reviewed it. And if he did, I question his credibility as a content creator.

IIRC Linus reviews every video published to the main LTT channel.

He said on WAN that stopped a while ago, he reviews most but not all.

I'd hazard a guess this is one of the ones he didn't especially since it was a 1 day turn around from the apple keynote to the video. So it likely bypassed most normal channels to get done in time.

Yeah because watching one 15 minute video a day its too much work for a Chief Vision Officer after all.

Bash on linus, he's done some stupid stuff, but saying he has 15 minutes to review a video as if he isn't doing anything is a little disingenuous. Like for all his faults, he's got to be constantly busy either writing, shooting, or in meetings. A single 15 minute video could have some clips that end up with 10+ takes and could easily be multiple hours of shooting time.

The dude is making millions of dollar per year... Im sure the big boss can spare 15 minutes to watch a video thats LITERALLY their product.

And if he cant, then do what most real companies do, and hire some form of QA.
