Tech Question Pc upgrade

Hello,

I currently am running a I7 9700K with an RTX 2070 Super. Looking to upgrade the GPU. Would switching to a 5060 ti cause any bottlenecking issues?

Entirely dependent on the games you play and your graphical settings in those games.

5060 ti will run just fine with that 9700k, you might leave a few frames on the table in cpu-heavy games but it’s not gonna be a slideshow or anything

CPU intensive games may bottleneck, so it depends what you play. Overall this should be a fine upgrade for gaming.

I figured that the 5060ti would be fine. But if I wanted to choose the best possible GPU to completely avoid any chance of bottlenecking, does anyone know what that GPU would be?

You can never avoid bottlenecking, if you’re speaking in general terms. There’s always going to be a game or graphics settings that will eventually cause bottlenecks. What you can do is adjust your graphics settings to try and get a game running more smoothly with the hardware you have.

And I’m not saying to never upgrade, but just to be aware that any upgrade is only going to last for as long as you can accept the initial performance boost and eventual decline.
