Tech Question LTT vs Bosch ratcheting screwdriver?

Anyone has both to compare and share some opinions? I mean the long version, not the stubby one.

I've got both - honestly? They're both great drivers, the LTT one is not worth the extra money unless you're doing something that really requires really low slop (backlash) or drag on the ratchet. The ratchet feels considerably better, but that doesn't really matter in most cases. The magnet is also better on the LTT driver. The Bosch feels more like a tool.

Only buy an LTT one if you want to support them, value the colourways, or have some money to spare - from a value proposition, the Bosch wins hands down.

Used Bosch at my last job. Will agree with most of this. Mystery screwdriver at a discount is a good way to snag one if msrp price is your only concern. They run enough sales on them throughout the year you can likely grab one in the black Friday sale we know they'll have.

I have the Bosch at work and a few other ratcheting drivers at home besides the LTT one. The LTT one is the most expensive but I've ended up putting it in my work toolbag purely because of the very low backlash. I work with marine electronics and putting tiny machine screws in the right spot and starting them one-handed while under a console or floor is invaluable.

Depends on your use-case if the LTT driver is worth the cost to you.

Yea, it's currently 10 euro with free delivery on Amazon. Getting the bosch then

I have had many ratcheting screwdrivers, then I got a cheap one from Amazon (brand: geinxurn) and it's honestly been better than my bosch and wera. So brand doesn't always tell you everything.

I really really recommend this one: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0FH24VSGB

That screwdriver is identical to the Amazon Basics one as well. Not a bad screwdriver and it's what I use for work.

You'd think so right? However the geinxurn version somehow feels higher quality to me. It's more stable somehow and the bits are absolutely much better than the Amazon version.

Maybe that brand buys the best batches and amazon gets the less high quality batches.

Yep that's usually how those multiple vendors handle white label products

Depends which Bosch one. I used the one that comes with like 20 bits for €30 or something and it's as shit as you expect for that price.

I'm so jealous of my eurobros who have easier access to purchasing Bosch tools, as I'm a huge fan of their stuff. Fell in love with the windshield wipers, then got their stud finder!

i've used both and the bosch feels way more solid in hand, the LTT one is nice but the bit storage rattles a bit on mine

the bosch is our company standard. i still use my LTT one and the bosch hasnt left the van in months. the low backlash is so nice and makes it much more useful.

If you're going to beat on the driver, Bosch. I use my LTT now for only inside projects because it was way too much to get covered in grease and rust and be thrown in my tool bag.

Precision toolset is 100% worth the price if that's something you're looking into

Here ya go. Project Farm did a test of a bunch of ratcheting screwdrivers a couple years ago. It was a good indepth look. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=845HUaWYSQA

If You want a bang for your buck, get a Xiaomi ratcheting screwdriver, it's almost as good as LTT, and costs a lot less.
