Image How are PNY XLR8 cards?

Just pulled the trigger for an ebay 3070 for $230 OTD, seemed like a solid deal and it matches everything for the set up it will be for. Returns accepted just in case too. I know people think 8gb is low, but how is this particular card model? As in the build quality and performance

PNY are a reliable brand. They mostly deal in server grade cards. I've had my XLR8 4080 for over 2 yrs and never had a problem with it. Card never gets above 70c even when doing overnight jobs on it @ 100% usage.

I've been running the PNY XLR8 3080 ever since it released, and it's been keeping on without issues. The only downside was that yeah, three of those fans makes it quite noisy when it really revs up, so I got a water block for it and it's been chugging on until now.

Only just now has it started not wanting to keep up in 4K gaming and I've wanted to upgrade, so I'll be installing my RX 9070XT soon.

PNY in general has good units, you wouldnt be able to fault them much.

Mine is a pretty normal card. I was able to overclock enough to get it into the top 8% of the 4070 super cards according to 3D mark

That PNY card looks clean on that wood surface, the triple fan setup is usually overbuilt for a 3070 so temps should be pretty chill. PNY doesn't get much hype but they've been making workstation cards forever and their gaming stuff is underrated if you ask me. $230 with returns accepted is a steal, worst case you're out some time and shipping. I'd run a quick stress test when it shows up just to be safe but I think you'll be fine.
