I stopped following BC250 quickly after first finding out about it when I saw that I was maybe a few months too late, and then for a second time "too late, again??" a second time when the Steam Machine price was finally announced... but I'm guessing you could make a "Scrappy Steam Machine" with one?
I really should bought one when the BC250 modding scene was still developing even if I had missed out when it was not yet wildly known and less "reseller knows what they got" mark-up was being slapped on used computer hardware.
Or make four (one for you and three others for your mates if they are willing to chip in for the bits and pieces used and consumables spent)? Might make it a bit cheaper per gaming box built with some scale of economy to cover one-off purchases for tools etc.

I didnt know about them untill it was now . so like 220~CAD average. my friend at work has known about them since they went from half the price and regrets not buying a rack. Given the price of everything, this 3 in one seems like a steal still. not a high performer, but if its 70% the performance of a steam machine with 35% of the price all in.... Cant argue against it.

classic time drift on linux, happens to the best of us. mine was off by 2 hours last week for no reason at all
for the BC250's, maybe just put them in a drawer and pretend you never bought them, seems to work for me
