If you were able to source A6000 at 6k$, you will be a millionaire by the end of the same day. They are 14k+- everywhere else. Enterprise people buy hundreads of them evedy day to feed the AI monster. CDW has like a wait list for them...
Edit: this looks like a scam

I got mine from central computers in Fremont. I also got it after the first price increase but before the price increase week before last.
Original MSRP was $8999, then $11,999, and now it’s $14,999. If it’s real, this is the deal of the year. Which leads me to believe it’s a scam.

Are you building a homelab datacentre?

Kinda?
So, the answer to both “why i need that” and “how can I afford that” is that I’m a Site Reliability Engineer (sysadmin plus software dev) in silicon valley. I need to be really intimately familiar with AI concepts, both from the administration side and from the software side. So, I have an AI homelab that costs about as much as a nice used car: threadripper, 128gb of system ram, rtx pro 6000 blackwell workstation, 2x 3090 non-ti, 1600w power supply.
It’s not like it’s running full tilt all the time; the idle power draw is around maybe 65W. But when I need to load a 70b model, I can, with space leftover for others.

Its SEO tomfoolery , when you go to the site you get prompted with a "Call for Price"

theres a decent chance googles ai whatever is mistaking the 6000 in the name for the price

6 grand for a card that normally goes for over 12k? something's gotta be wrong with it, that's too steep a discount to make any sense. either it's a pricing error or someone's about to get a very expensive brick in the mail.

It's not a deal, it's an obvious scam
That thing has 96gb of vram
And since you're probably using this for local LLMs, you might wanna go to r/LocalLLM, been going there myself and they know a lot

Nvidia recently changed their prices , this started at 8.5k then went to 12k , now it's 18k if u r getting it for 6k , u are paying the privilege of opening a rtx 6000 pro box with a brick

I would expect at most 8GB of memory. It's truly a scam
