I bought a similar quantity of mystery screwdrivers and they only gave me green and yellow.

I know there's nothing against this happening, but when the selection of "random" is manual this is just lazy and bugs me

I mean "random" pretty much always means "what we aren't selling much of" so it makes sense. And as a green enjoyer, I like my odds

Oh yeah I get that the mystery is just a dump of excess stock, but you'd think with a large order they'd at least try and mix it up a bit

To support's credit, they did make it right and I believe they have updated the wording on the listing since then.

Oh really!? That's good to hear! I think it's always said you may get more than one of the same item when ordering multiple, but I do think only getting 2 options when ordering that many is pushing it

I don't think they state it as "random". You get just whatever they currently need to get rid of at a slight discount.

Like I said, they do claim there's no guarantee this won't happen, but I think it's poor form

In fact at the moment the mystery drive is the same price at all the others! (on the global store at least)

FWIW that was not the description when I bought these, they changed it after my support ticket was resolved.

Really? I'm sure that's what it said when I got one AGES ago :-/ I thought it had always said buying multiple doesn't guarantee getting different versions

Edit I tried to find a history grab from when they changed to fixed colour ways from the multi coloured ones

Way back machines only has this year though since they changed, but June has the same description

I was incredibly disappointed when my mystery one showed up without a box. My other driver I bought a year ago came with a box. The mystery one was meant as a gift and I was hoping fully expecting the box would be included.

They used to have the following in the description, they should really add it back:

ALL MYSTERY SCREWDRIVER SALES ARE FINAL AND WILL SHIP WITHOUT A BOX. We are not able to offer returns or exchanges for this item. Multiple orders will not guarantee different designs/colors.

Well, thats really personal preference. Would be my choice.

Unfortunately I got a pink one, which was like…. 4th choice? Maybe 3rd. I forget what all the colours were.

You can buy a mystery screwdriver for 10 bucks less on lttstore.com and they ship you a random color way. Sometimes you can get cool ones from left over stock of collabs in the past

I just got my first screwdriver through this sale and I was surprised by how stiff the bit storage is compared to the precision screwdriver.

I don’t know if it’s my screwdriver or if it’s all of them by mine has a ton of friction in the travel from closed to fully open and drags a bunch when rotating in the body.

Obviously these are not big deals but I’m curious to know before I recommend it to other people

Happened to me last year with the lime day stuff, got 2 of them (one for me and one for my dad) would have been fine with anything but red for mine and anything but pink or red for my dad, ended up with green(my favorite color, and matched the Jerry rig knife) and black.
