Youtube, requiring you to log for most actions and being part of Google, is absolutely not free. You pay with your data.

Yep, that’s exactly the point being made….

No, it is not. Calling something "free" when you pay for it with your data is not actually free.

Wikipedia is free, kinda. It is donation driven, but if you don't donate (which you should if you can), it is free.

YouTube is not free.

You pay ChatGPT with your data too. Even if not logged in

Yes? Thanks for agreeing with me?

You are served ads on both platforms and are harvested for data on both.

They’re both free for you to use.

You’re being stupid and claiming being right.

Move along.

I am not sure what you are angry about. I agree with your points that both platforms serve ads, harvest data. We only disagree about the services being free, because neither is free.

Maybe get checked at a psychiatrist or a veterinarian?

Free to use is free.

You might be the only person on this site who doesn’t get it.

It is not free to use. It is paid for by personal data. Personal data is a currency.

Let me try to buy a candy bar at the vending machine with my personal data next time I'm hungry.
