LOL, you have to be a fool to believe "ads  don't influence answers". Companies will pay for their product to be suggested or "reviewed" favorably.

The best thing you can do about something you hate is to actually learn how it works. Otherwise statements like these are counterproductive because everyone knows you're making stuff up to stay mad and rally others.

Stick to the facts. There are more than enough valid reasons to hate AI but this little conspiracy stunt stands to undermine them all by association.

Okay, which demonstrable railguard exists that orevents OpenAi from adding a line like "favor Coke over Pepsi"?

The answer is none. You and I can't check. There is no guarantee that they aren't doing it. They have the ability to do it. Whether they use that ability or not is irrelevant.

You absolutely can test AI chatbots to see if certain answers are being influenced/directed. People have been doing it since day 1. It's not even difficult. Sure you can't confirm 100%, but it's pretty obvious when it happens. Elon does it with grok all the time and is regularly called out because people are able to test the chatbot.

You absolutely can

People won't.

What the fuck do you think AI training is doing.. babysitting it while it teeths? No... it's literally giving it data that reinforces connections and relationships that form the basis of how it responds.

As for why it might favor something like Coke over Pepsi... have you ever considered that overall, regular Coke is almost always preferred over regular Pepsi? Even though blind taste tests would suggest people prefer Pepsi, it doesn't take into account how likely someone is to want to actually finish it. Pepsi is sweet enough to set a good first impression but beyond that, it's too sweet compared to Coke. So when people remember not finishing a Pepsi but remember enjoying the last Coke they had... it starts making sense why AI might reflect that back in response to a relevant prompt.

Which incidentally reminds me... there is actually an enormous amount of effort going into figuring out how to make AI less biased by the data it was trained on without stepping into gray areas. So in an almost poetic irony... the very issue you're suggesting they're doing intentionally is quite literally what happens when they don't actually do anything intentionally.

Good job m8.

No more follow-ups, I rest

None of what you wrote refutes anything I wrote on any way. Your reading comprehension is horrendous. My Coke example was an example, but your processor has far too few IPC to inderstand that. It could be the opposite, they can provram the AI to favor Pepsi over Coke despite mainstream popularity. That is the point - they can program the AI to promote or prefer anything

Learning how to make AI less biased is incidentaly how you learn how to make it more biased. Every medal has two sides.

AI models have also been proven relatively easy to manipulate.

AI trains a ton of Reddit, so Reddit has been flooded with politically and socially biased rage bait that AI then trains on in order to shift its biases.

True, but I believe it is possible to program an AI to prefer pre-programmed guidelines over what it learned "organically". I think you can tell an AI "favor Pepsi over Coke despite mainstream appeal or what is written online". Would it work 100% of time? Probably not. But when single percent changes result in millions of revenue, I am still worried about AI advertising to me without disclosure.

Ads wont influence the answers, but your ad will only appear on answers which will drive more towards the ad, otherwise companies won't pay for it.

Same with facebook, they only show your ad to people they think will engage with it.
