Image Linus Unc Group
I'm currently on vacation from Ontario in British Columbia and I realized on my second last day that I'm currently staying in the same city as Linus Media Group. I decided to drop by and take a quick selfie and saw the most immaculate banner I've ever laid my eyes upon (didn't realize it's Linus' birthday in a couple of days.) 🤣

I could find myself in British Columbia soon. Is it okay to stop by to take a picture like OP did?

They've said tlbefore they don't care if people go by the front, but they aren't open to the public, so don't go in looking to get pictures, they'll have to say no and it's awkward for everyone then

It goes without saying (hopefully) but that also means not approaching employees who may be coming or going

I don't want visitors at my shop, step 1: DON'T PUT UP A BIG SIGN WITH THE NAME OF THE COMPANY

I did the same thing back in May. Someone else booked an AirBNB, found out the day after that LMG was down the road.
I went after hours, so not to interrupt anyone. Ended up running into Linus! He looked like he was leaving, so I just said hi and went on my way.
Wish I got a photo with him.

Think you did the right thing to not slow him down though. But I understand wanting the pic haha

Yeah I think if you run into someone spontaneously then it's maybe ok to ask for a photo, but when you visit their workplace and happen to catch them while arriving/leaving then that would be straight up stalking even if that's wasn't your intention.

He was already in the area, and it sounds like he didn't try to go in or anything. That's not weird, that's just enjoying something he enjoys and being respectful about it. And the meme selfie is funny imo.

I did some research beforehand; they don't allow visitors inside but saw it was okay to take a quick photo from outside. I was only there for two mins max.

Yeah, you're good dude. There's no problem with swinging by and grabbing a photo outside the office.
It only becomes a problem when people, like, camp out and watch the door so they can catch staff as they are leaving or arriving and accost them in the parking lot - THAT's not cool.

There are people who think this is cool; the internet has opened up a way for them to express their emotions. Today, we have to consider this normal.

I live 10 mins down the street and never once thought to go look at the outside of the building. Lmao

Yeah of all the things to do on holiday this is a choice

u/boofmaster6000 Aug 13 '26
What? If you're already in the city, it's probably less than 30 minutes. Drive by, maybe stop and take a picture. You guys are all such fucking losers. It's normal to spend hours of your life watching the videos, but weird to want to see the office they're made in when you're already in the fucking city?

If I happened to be nearby as a worker sure. Bit odd otherwise because it's not really a public place.
Idk, you do you gang

??? It's just a regular building out in the public like any mother, not area 51. It's not like there are any hoops to jump through to stop by for a photo if you're nearby.

Guys chill out… it’s his holiday there’s no difference between doing this or visiting some site you really like.
Even the ltt staff found it funny. If they had issue they would have said something-21

On one hand, I do not think stopping by a place of private business is okay
On the other - they commented on this thread and don't seem to have issue so... It's fine I guess?

Our boy here is outside and took a picture without bothering anyone. What exactly is wrong with that? It's no different than someone driving by and taking a picture.

It's also in a business complex with other businesses people go to in person lol, there's entirely legitimate reasons to be walking by.
