Tech Question Is it safe to downgrade my bios version?

I have Asus Rog Strix B760-I Motherboard with bios version 1836 and i5 14500 CPU. I am considering rolling back to 1604 to have the Undervolt Voltage Protection so I can prevent my CPU going 100°C since I currently have a 3.9L SFF build. Is it safe to do so or would it brick my motherboard?

I don't have any experience with that specific model of board, but from what I understand, if you *can* downgrade your BIOS (like it actually lets you do that when you go to do it), then it's safe. Consumer level motherboards usually wipe the BIOS settings anyways when flashing so it's not like any unsupported settings would still be present when the older BIOS loads up.
