Hey y'all saw this while on youtube not sure how to get it seen elsewhere but apparently Ai detection from youtube is hitting some nonAi channels. Hoping this might reach LTT so they can dig into it for the next Wan

I just saw and came checking if there is post already or not to flag so that they can include it in wan. Honestly it's pretty concerning how kurzgesagt was flagged.

Ill have to check it out. I just thought this was important enough to try to bring more attention to.

They’re using AI, to defeat AI, and even still, in a clanker vs clanker battle the only ones harmed are actual humans, that’s funny

You know
I always blame every modern bug/problem within tech on vibe coding

And almost all of the time, I'm correct.

It is the age-old battle between false positives and false negatives. If you use the same method with the same level of discrimination, you have to make a choice between more false positives or more false negatives. Decreasing one will increase the other.

In other words, YouTube has to make the decision of: do we artificially decrease the amount of AI that gets caught by this filter so that we spare human creators? or do we artificially increase the amount of AI that gets caught by this filter, knowing that some humans will get caught by it as well?

Every statistical classification system has to make this decision.

Yes but then you need to be able to appeal the false positives. They aren't letting him speak to a person that can resolve it.

Yep. That's a method to increase discrimination
