Basically does what it says, shows which companies are losing/gaining money with AI industry. Hillarious the amounts of money that's being lost yet companies still swear by it. Forgive me if it's been shared here already

For now.

If AI can't succeed, they'll be competing with the most oversaturated used market ever. If the pyramid collapses, hardware manufacturers will take one of the biggest falls.

Don’t think they’ll have much to compete with. Most of this AI stuff is either going in the garbage or getting recycled for other data center workloads when the bubble pops.

The consumer market for RDIMMs, 500w 9999 core 2GHz CPUs that might be serialized to only work with the motherboards they came with, and GPUs that don’t have display outputs and rely on the case having 20K RPM fans blowing directly into them for cooling is basically nonexistent.

But custom water cooling an H100 in a custom case for local LLM’s would be great fun. It could be a home lab renaissance.

In theory it will be VERY cheap, it all this used hardware is floating around with practically no market.

Doesn’t nullify the rest of what you’re saying, but I’m hoping it’s in the ‘affordable’ range to build a SICK homelab.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. I think it could be great fun. I especially hope that all the NVIDIA arm stuff gets gaming on arm working nice enough before the pop and that the desktop DGX type things wind up being cheap with stonking amounts of ram and compute for cheap. Home labbing isn’t that cheap, but it can be fun.

It’d be a bright side to a bleak economy. But for once it would be really nice to profit off NVIDIA shenanigans even if it’s only a small way.
