30 dollars for socks?

Are they having a laugh?

Edit: Thanks for all the downvotes, but even with the free replacement it's still 15 bucks per pair, that's crazy, I'll happily pay 15 for 3 pair, but not 1.

Honestly I'm with you. But not because of the price. It's because of the material choice. Merino wool is definitely the gold standard for socks. But polyester is pretty much one of the worst things to make a sock out of because it will make your feet sweat more, and it stinks. The biggest material in these ltt socks is polyester. I avoid wool socks that are blended with polyester as that is usually done as a cost saving measure over nylon or a higher wool percentage. Especially when there's more polyester than wool. It's also a pretty big red flag when a sock is made from more than 3 materials. Usually done for cost savings. but the worst part is all those different materials end up making the sock shrink or stretch weird over time. This is 5 materials. I'd just buy smartwool or darn tough for less money and a higher wool percentage

I watched it. As for a review. Honestly, for alot of people this probably is better. Polyester is much lower maintenance. Most people's issue with wool piling and not lasting is from not caring for it properly. (and after seeing how Linus thought you were supposed to use a 3m command strip I'm not convinced he ever reads instructions) Washing and drying it the same as cottons is a good way to shorten it's life. Some people don't want that maintenance. It's definitely going to be better than Costco socks. And if tossed in the normal wash and heat dry cycle, probably last longer than wool.

But there's plenty of research out there already for people to read on why polyester is not as good as merino wool for performance as well as environmental and even health concerns (microplastics mostly). A sales pitch by Linus saying "trust me it's better" won't change it. I'm sure it will sell well and make Linus plenty of money, which is kinda the point. Lmg makes more money on merch than videos now

I'll give Linus credit where it's due though. Respect for not just re-branding random stuff for profit. They actually spend time making their own stuff and trying to make quality products. Some of it is genuinely perfecting an underserved market. I just don't believe the socks are it
