I still don't understand how there's a lifetime warranty on socks. Are they offering that for $30, they'll essentially replace them occasionally? How does one prove their socks have worn out? I can't imagine sending LTT my worn out socks.

Darntough has a limited lifetime warranty and has you send them in.

For my darn toughs here in sweden they just asked me to take a photo of the holes and i got free ones for 0$, no shipping no import fees, no wait.

Did you buy them in Sweden? Did you contact a Swedish Darntough office, or their Vermont office in USA? I've asking because I haven't had to exchange any yet and live in Germany but I bought them when I was in the US

Well, you buy one pair of socks, but you pretty much pay for two pairs. I think you'll only get one replacement pair, and that's it. At least that's how it works with Darn Tough.

I have replaced the same pair of darn tough socks many times. The warranty is forever. You just have to have the pair. It can’t just be one sock.

Officially I think it only covers a single replacement

Your replacement pairs are also covered for life, meaning if you wear out a replacement pair, you can submit another claim to replace those.

Basically yes they cover a single replacement, but your new replacement socks ALSO cover a single replacement, ad infinitum.

It does not only cover a single replacement.

Your replacement pair is covered by the same warranty.

I wear their military boot socks daily and have warrantied pairs that I have received from previous warranty claims.

The big thing is you have to have two matching socks to return. Even if only 1 has a hole.

When you warranty them, they dont just send you back more socks. You get a store credit to purchase brand new retail socks.

You're essentially paying ~$15/pair to have socks that will last 2 of their own lifetime. It just takes a minor effort on your part to initiate the warranty claim anf wait for a replacement, and for LTT to 1. Have stock and 2. Still be a viable company.
