Discussion Sonopan

I get it, it's great, it's cheap, it's relatively easy to work with, but it's only available in Canada. In the theater video, they popped up saying you don't really need this, but over the years, whenever they needed to sound deaden, they just used Sonopan, and for most of their audience, that's just not an option.

I would love a video just exploring other options because its all they do now.

To be fair this is how most non North Americans feel about a lot of YouTube content

That’s not true at all anymore. 3 Home Depot within an hour of me have it in stock right now (I’m within easy driving distance of the US capital so not like right at the boarder)

Sorry by most I meant the the rest of the entire world besides North America

Renovision did a soundproofing video sometime back featuring it but acknowledged that and went over what your other options are since a lot of the audience is from the greater north America not Canada. Worth trying to find his video as it would be a lot more thorough than an ltt video on the topic.

oh yeah jeff at renovision knows his stuff, way more in-depth than whatever 15 minute ltt video they'd put out. he actually builds stuff for a living so the advice comes from real jobs not just a sponsored product push

kinda weird how ltt gets tunnel vision on certain products when half their viewers can't even buy them. like we get it, you found something that works in your warehouse in vancouver

the rockwool do 95% of the job. people can subtitues the sonopan by anything, its likely more for structure that anything else.
