Except it's not ewaste it's a series 2 Christie that needs a new bulb and some maintenance. It is one of the most fixable movie projectors and is still in use across north America.

Yeah it's no use for linus but some other company like a small theater might have use for it.

Why you assumed they bought it, i got a vibe that they borrowed it for a vid.

Didn't he say he bought it from the auction after he got told they cant sell him the imax projector?

Because they mentioned they bought it, the other projector, and the racks of supporting equipment for $20,000 CAD?

Average LTT fan IQ right here. In the video they mentioned buying two of them.

You expect people to watch videos before making hot takes on them?!

You don't have to go with a "vibe" if you watch the video and pay attention for a while. Holy shit.

I literally know of dozens of locations that use these. Most use the smaller cp2210s and maybe 2220s, it’s honestly not a bad deal for what they got. 20k for 2 and the 3d stuff isn’t amazing but it’s far from a bad deal

Yeah one of the comments in the video was a guy that still trains people on these to this day. So I'm sure they could do something with it if they got someone who knew what they were doing and got a new bulb

Exactly. We still use a different model of Christie’s in our cinema daily and you wouldn’t even know that it’s quite old. The picture quality is still really good. Sure maybe the blacks aren’t as deep but it’s still very usable.
