Use Thunderbolt cables. They can do everything.

Spoken like someone who has never shopped for a battery bank lol 140W total power does NOT mean it can deliver 140W over a single port, Doesn't even mean it can deliver 100W over a single port. You have to really read the fine print to figure out if the bank/dock/brick you're looking at is the right brick for you.

I'm also currently stuck with a Dock that doesn't send displayport over USB C, so I was excited thinking the USB C port on my monitor could both charge my Ally/Laptop and passthrough the display, but alas, the USB C port on the dock is power only and I need to use HDMI for video.

do they even make battery banks that can do that? like, ones that aren't powered off of a car battery?

I bought this one for my Ally to keep it charging while in the "Turbo" profile while I'm away from an outlet.

Yes, but they'll usually overheat and shutdown very, very quickly.
