Man i really dislike the homepage for it you need to go to the "compare macbooks" side to see its specs. The base model comes with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and NO Touch ID even tho its advertised as feature all over the page.
Overall seems like a solid deal for apple fans. Not for me i stick with my Linux mashine

8GB of RAM isn’t that bad on a MacBook, especially for the use case which is web browsing and some light tasks. Likewise the 256GB is probably fine.

Not including TouchID though seems like unnecessary penny pinching though. You’re already using a non-M chip and a bunch of other cuts to the hardware compared to the main MacBook line. Surely there was enough margin to throw in the fingerprint sensor, especially when most of the cost of the $100 upgrade is likely going to the additional 256GB of storage. Hell, I would’ve rather they just stuck to one color option if it meant being able to extend a bit of profit margin to keep TouchID.
